The palatial Boscolo Prague is in the ideal location for exploring the sights of the Czech capital on foot, with the main train station just a two-minute walk away, with national and international trains.
The five-star hotel, formerly a Czech Savings and Loan Bank, has 152 rooms and plenty of pizazz, with high ceilings, gold and cream decor, and sparkly chandeliers. I stay in the light and roomy Junior Suite at the front of the hotel, with little street noise to disturb my sleep. The design is understated, with marble and brown leather accents; think 2017 meets art nouveau. The bathroom has ample space with a powerful shower and is also fully fitted with marble. After check-in, I head straight to the spa, which includes a heated pool and dry sauna, and works miracles on my London-clogged pores.
I treat myself to a deep-tissue massage with Ana and 30 minutes later, feel as light as air. The next morning, I have breakfast at the New York Cafe, which offers an extensive American breakfast with cooked options, fruit and different types of delicious coffee. The jazzy Cigar Bar is the perfect stop for high-quality liquor.
